Lane Thurgood was born and raised in what was once the small farming community of Syracuse, Utah. He is a retired military JAG officer and currently works as an attorney in Washington, DC. He and his wife Kate have four daughters, three sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. Lane is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. He enjoys fly fishing and is President of the Chesapeake Council of Fly Fishers International. He has served as a seminary teacher and currently serves as 2nd Counselor in the stake presidency of the Annandale Virginia Stake.
