President James Evanson grew up in Taber, Alberta, served a mission in Tempe Arizona and is now the Mission President of the Orem, Utah mission. His service between then and now includes being a minor football coach, cub and scout leader, primary teacher, Ward and Stake Young Men's leader, Stake High Counselor, Stake President, and an Area Seventy. He was called with his wife Sister Jody Evanson in December of 2020. Before President Evanson graduated dental school they began their family. Their five fantastic children have all served missions around the globe. Now their family grows through marriage and grandchildren. They have enjoyed traveling to many international destinations together. President Evanson has completed nine marathons
