Andrew Housley

Andrew Housley’s mission in life seems to be to be either a jack of all trades and master of none or an aspiring renaissance man, depending on your outlook (is the glass half full or half empty?). In other situations, you will find him plying the trades of devoted husband, impish father of five, auto mechanic, woodworker, plumber, history buff, electrician, heavy equipment operator, aviation enthusiast, ecclesiastical leader, public speaker, semi-lawyer, home remodeler, lumberjack, and addicted reader. How to Talk to Anyone About Anything (Andrew Housley)

Grant Room

Do you want to have the gift of the gab, then you have come to the right place. Learn how to strike up conversations with complete strangers and, more importantly, how to talk with them about things of more significance than the weather. This class will cover tools such as personalized ice breakers, listening like an interrogator, how to “Pull at the threads” with effective questions, and more. When employed correctly, you should come away with the basic equipment in your toolbox to talk to others about even the traditional no-go topics of politics and religion. The class should be fun and will involve some hands-on, or maybe that is ears and mouth on, practice.
