This class will include ways to recognize your own filters and ways to help your children recognize theirs.

Kids vs Parents: Who has the Power? (Amber Majeske)

Stillwell Room

Do you feel like there is a perpetual tug-of-war going on in your house? Are you giving-up and giving-in to behaviors that are not productive? What is power? Who needs it? Why do we not let go of the rope? What message do we send when we take our children's power? Does voluntary compliance work? How much power could we have if we combined our power instead of stealing others? This session will explore a variety of aspects of power in the home including learned helplessness, agency, and adulting.
