Aaron is a devoted husband and father, a disciple of Jesus Christ, a former X-Games gold medalist, and a world-class rock climbing coach. Aaron is a Gospel instructor at the Utah Valley Institute by day, and rock climbing coach by night. He married his high school sweetheart, the amazing Morgan Shamy, and they are the parents of four beautiful children and are “living the dream”! Aaron has been coaching climbing for more than 25 years and coached an Olympian to a Silver Medal in the 2021 Olympic games. In addition to coaching, Aaron has climbed the Matterhorn in Switzerland, swam the San Francisco Bay from Alcatraz to Bay Beach (2 miles), and ran 100 miles continuously in the Wasatch 100. Aaron believes that there is a thrill in the coaching process when your instruction helps others reach their goals, push limits, and find joy that comes through hard work and personal application.
