Speaker: Shawn Coombs

Shawn Coombs grew up in St. George, Utah with two brothers and four sisters. He served his mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador and attended Dixie College, where he was the Student Body President and Sophomore Student of the Year. He then finished his degree in Civil Engineering at Brigham Young University, where he met his amazing wife, Melissa. They have been married 20 years and are the proud parents of five children. They have been homeschooling for over ten years. His wife says that while she is the main teacher in their homeschool, Shawn is the much-appreciated and talented “entertainment committee!” Although Shawn travels frequently with his job and currently serves as bishop in his ward, he still finds time to enjoy rappelling, hiking, camping, boating and other outdoor adventures with his family.
