Speaker: Heather Fuhriman

Heather is the mother of four (three boys and one daughter), all of whom have been homeschooled from the beginning. She enjoys learning alongside her children through project-based learning as a Leadership Education Mentoring Institute (LEMI) mentor and trainer and utilizing her college studies in cultural anthropology. Her favorite projects are history-based as she enjoys making history come to life through reenactments, simulations, activities, and meaningful, principle-based discussions.

When not engrossed in the past, she spends time volunteering in the community with the Boy Scouts of America and her church. She especially enjoys being Skipper of a homeschool-based Sea Scout Ship. When not doing any of the above, you’ll find Heather in a hammock reading a book, playing the ukulele, or on a date with her husband of 26 years.
