Speaker: Amber Majeske

Dr. Amber Majeske received a dual-Ph.D. in Human Development & Family Studies and Gerontology from Purdue University. She is currently an Associate Professor in Human Development & Family Studies at Penn State York. Active in the National Council on Family Relations, she serves as the past-chair for the Health and Families section. Her research interests include the bi-directional effects of relationship interactions such as support and control on individual and family well-being within the contexts of health. She has spent 10 years volunteering with the addiction recovery and family support program with LDS Family Services. She also recently created a new course for Penn State called, Addiction: from Science to Society. She also spent the last year on Sabbatical at Aarhus University in Denmark working with the Grundtvig Centre of Religion and Culture.
