Join Liz Quist in an audacious attempt do just that! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints connects us to the most vital sources for finding true knowledge, light and wisdom. What are the great sources of knowledge, true or false, teaching those in the world in our day? How can we help to lead others to greater truth? How can we increase our effectiveness in helping the Lord bring to light the things of darkness? Worldviews are made up of the sets of beliefs generally subscribed to by a society. Whether you were a Roman in A.D. 125, a Muslim in the 8th century or a Christian today, the way the elite in a specific time period answer major life questions (i.e. How do we find truth? How will the world end? Does God exist?) informs almost every aspect of society, culture and what we call “reality”. It is almost impossible for us to see our own day with clarity, which makes the study of the current worldview controversial and speculative – but also interesting! Join Liz for a whirlwind 1 hr introduction to worldviews with suggestions for further reading.
