The Power of Poetry: How Verse and Rhyme Help Children Become Better Readers

Throughout her years in teaching Brooke has found that there is a true power in poetry. By exposing her students (and now her own children) to poetry they have become better readers, built larger vocabularies, strengthened their memorization and oral presentation skills as well as become abstract thinkers and artists. This class will explore how exposing young children to verse and rhyme can help them accomplish all of these things in just a few minutes a day.
