In twenty-two years of homeschooling I’ve known very few people who were not enamored by the idea of classical education. It just sounds…classy. Everyone wants their kid to name-drop the classical composers, artists, and authors in the presence of friends and relatives.
Too many people, however, confuse classical education with a certain program, school, or even with a parenting philosophy. Let’s tease apart what classical education is, where it came from, and where it stands today. Let’s examine the core elements and how to implement them in your homeschool. And, most importantly, in this class we’ll discuss why being conversant with these things can enrich the life of your child as he enters the world of adults.
