With all the demands on a homeschooler’s time, society’s expectations for strong STEM skills, and placement tests that focus only on those things that can can be easily measured, it is easy for art education to take a back seat. When asked, though, the vast majority of LDS families would agree that learning the language of the Spirit IS the ultimate goal of any education. In this class, we will discuss how the arts help our children become more fluent in His language, how that language will in turn enrich all their other “practical” pursuits, and how that educational synergy is vital for building Zion.
