Your sketchbook is a personal space where your art begins. It is where you can capture your ideas, thoughts, questions, and answers. A sketchbook is messy, crazy, and wild. In it you can write, doodle, draw, paint, cut, and tear. It’s not about creating finished works of art—it is about discovering and then starting your art. Don’t feel constrained by what others think art should be about. Make your drawings about whatever you like.
Your sketchbook is just for you. Fill it with things that you find interesting, fun, or weird. Come to this class to learn how to use your sketchbook in a new way. You will be inspired and motivated to draw and keep drawing so that you can develop your own way of making art. Never stop sketchbooking! A small sketchbook will be provided for each student attending the class. Students are also invited to bring their own personal sketchbooks if they wish.
