The traditional roles in the LDS family make homeschooling (nurturing) the children primarily the mother’s concern. As fathers, we wonder how we can give our families what they need to succeed. How can we support our families in homeschooling? What does presiding look like? What resources should we be providing? How can we acquire, maintain, and build those resources? What are we protecting our families from? We will explore the resources required for successfully living after the manner of happiness even in a homeschool family; examine the father’s role in raising children at different stages of childhood and youth; and hopefully give you a clearer vision of what it looks like to preside over your little piece of Zion.
Come and join me as I review many of the successes and failures I have had in trying to support my family in the adventure of homeschooling and world domination.
