If you don’t know what Khan Academy is, you’re not alone. But if you want to add a wonderful FREE math tool to your toolbox, come and learn how Khan works both from a student/learners perspective and a teacher/coaches perspective. Sherry leads a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of the website, and demonstrates how to set up accounts and follow students and even improve your own math skills. This will be a very visual class in which participants will be logged into the website for the entire hour as Sherry walks you through the different parts of the site and how you might be able to use them. There will also be a brief exploration of the other pieces of the site including: science, economics, computer programming and even the humanities side that Khan Academy is developing.
