We often ask ourselves, “What do I want be when I grow up?” While ostensibly a simple question, the answer requires us to dream a little, plan a little, and work a lot. History is filled with examples of people who were wise enough – and faithful enough – to learn from their experiences and achieve their dreams. President Monson taught us that there are three keys to our lasting happiness – learning from the past, living in the present, and preparing for the future. As we prepare for the future, contemplating what we will someday become, we must ensure that we never lose sight of the eternal things that truly matter; but we must also never stop dreaming. Just ask my seven-year old son what he wants to be when he grows up. He will tell you — “When I grow up, I want to be a Jedi Knight.” That, and a follower of Christ.
