After nearly fifteen years of teaching her own children, Misty has discovered a solid truth that we all discover, and often have a difficult time understanding and accepting: that we are limited, and therefore, we cannot give our children a “perfect education.” Still, knowing this, we often see our children’s lives reflecting quite the opposite – that of educated, talented, faithful, confident young people and emerging adults. How is this accomplished? Misty believes it is by establishing an all-encompassing learning lifestyle in our homes, not just a “formal time” for educating our children. Children who grow up in this kind of home are literally “learning all the time.” They will naturally progress and will continue progressing throughout their adult lives. Join Misty as she shares with you a few of the things that her family has done to “establish a house of learning”.

Homeschooling moms have a unique opportunity to learn not only what we missed in school, but also anything we’ve ever wanted to know. Join Janice Campbell to learn how you can model a learning lifestyle that will speak louder than words. We’ll talk about personal learning goals, strong study skills, keeping a commonplace book, cultivating a beautiful memory, and more. No matter what you study—genealogy, horticulture, Latin, or art—your children will benefit from seeing exactly how to make learning a lifelong joy.
