Did you know that joy is a choice? Did you know that it is totally up to you to determine the amount of joy in your life? President Nelson once said, “The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything do to with the focus of our lives.” We are on this earth to learn to use our powers of agency. We get to choose where our focus and attention lie. As homeschoolers we’ve made some very intentional decisions about where we want to focus our efforts, but we often get bogged down in the mundane work of day-to-day living and learning so that we forget that the place we are at in any given moment is really the place we WANT to be.
