Everyone has their own niche and they should never feel guilty about the choices they make for their children, whether they chose public, private or home schooling; or whether they chose unschooling or Abeka or Sonlight or ???? or something in the middle of everything. Where do you go to find the courage to stick to your decision to home school? How do you deal with ignorance and criticisms? After 22 years of home schooling, Helen has been belittled, ignored, criticized, admired, etc. by both public schoolers and home schoolers. But it didn’t matter – what mattered was that she and her husband believed they had made the best choices for their children.
