The magnificent Benjamin Franklin gave some outstanding and inspired council when he told parents what they should teach their children as they pursue their education. He said, “Learning to serve God, Family, and Community should be the aim and end of all true learning”. For the last 50 years an organized and well-financed campaign has been implemented throughout the United States (as well as most parts of the world) to make public learning Godless, amoral, and lacking in patriotic loyalty. Service has been eliminated altogether. Homeschooling families must be careful not to fall into that trap.
