Charlotte Mason was a British educator who lived from 1842-1923. Her ideas were very popular and her curriculum guides gained wide and eager acceptance. After years of teaching and administration, she began a college for young women training to be teachers and governesses. She devoted her life to teaching and wrote several books. Her Parent’s National Education Schools served the educated classes and also the underprivileged. Her ideas translate well into the modern homeschooling setting. Many contemporary home schoolers find her techniques very useful. This introduction to the Charlotte Mason method explains her approach to teaching “a Generous Feast of Ideas.”
