What is money? And how is it different than a currency? We spend much of our lives pursuing and worrying about money. But have we ever taken the time to understand what it is or how it came to be? We will take a brief look at the different monies people have used throughout history and what we use today. We will also look at how money is still evolving to be more efficient and honest. The use of decentralization and cryptography applied to money has given rise to Bitcoin. We will explain Bitcoin, what it is, how it works, and why this disruptive technology has many implications that will affect our lives in the future.
