In composition 1 we learned the “language of music”. Now it’s time to learn “conversational music”. When you talk with a friend do you plan out what you are going to say? Do you practice it for weeks? Probably not! Well you can learn to view music the very same way. Taking the principles of composition and adding improvisation you can learn to write a new piece of music at the drop of a hat, the same way you would instantly talk about your day without having to stop and gather yours thoughts first. These principles will help you to compose faster, and to be more freely creative when you do! A knowledge of music theory is recommended.
