What are the great debates of your times? On which side of these do you come down? And are you ready to fight alongside others to see that your side prevails?
That’s what politics is all about, being part of a cause bigger than yourself, a cause in which you believe deeply, to which you are firmly committed, and one which will define who you are. As young people it is not so important that you have answers to all these questions. What is important is, first, that you learn how to find these answers, and second, that you begin that process now.
That is what you will learn in this class: what politics is all about, why it is important, and how you can become involved. And you will learn how you can become a strong, bold, outspoken leader who is able to influence and inspire others.
