We often “see through a glass darkly,” not really seeing the reality of the beauty and miracle of our moment-to-moment existence. We are often lost in thoughts—rehashing a past we can’t change or fretting about a future that is not yet here. Living with mindfulness—attention to the present moment and heartfulness—and operating from a place of kindness and compassion are tools that help us understand that the unbidden voices in our heads that compare and criticize us don’t define us. We don’t have to believe everything they say. This class will introduce tools to help us create new thought patterns based on truth and the reality of our divine nature so that we can see things as they really are and what our deepest, most fundamental needs are.
