Christine Owens

Christine has been homeschooling for twelve years and is the author of A Year of Poetry Tea Time, Relaxed Homeschooling, and the founder of the International Homeschooling Poetry Contest. She is on a mission to share with everyone the importance of poetry in a child’s education. It expands critical thinking skills, elevates vocabulary and strengthens family bonds. Poetry is also a natural way to spark curiosity and foster a love of learning while exploring areas such as music, art, math, science, history and more. Through poetry your children will become the deep thinkers and leaders of tomorrow.

Family Activity - Poetry Tea Time Unplugged (Christine Owens)

Zoom Room 1

What would you do to have your children sit still while you read to them? What if I told you that it could be as simple as a cup of herbal tea. Poetry tea time has a magical way of capturing the minds of even the busiest of children—yes, even little boys. During this live poetry tea time, not only will we enjoy some poetry and sip a cuppa together, but I will also share some tips and tricks to introduce poetry with your children that will have you wondering why you haven’t been doing this the whole time. Your children deserve to have poetry as a part of their education.
