Erin Kokinda has always loved serving in any way that she can. After the birth of her first child, she has been a stay-at-home mom, but has continued to serve in any capicty that she could. She has served in her community, at the local elementary school, with the Boy Scouts of America, and at various volunteer assignments in her church. Her first passion is her children, and as a result she pulled her two oldest out of school and began homeschooling all four of her children. She has loved learning alongside her children and teaching them the value in volunteering and serving others any time the need arises. Erin has served with LDSHE since 2012 in various capacitites and loves what the organization stands for and the services it provides to other homeschooling families. She is currently serving as the Venue Director on the Board, and is also pursuing her MS in Communication Science Disorders to be a Speech Language Pathologist to children that are in need of speech therapy. She loves learning and spending time with her family. Erin and her husband live with their four children in North Carolina.
How do we know if what we are doing is right? Are we in this by ourselves? Do we have someone that can help us? D&C 68:6 reads, “Be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you….” During this class, Erin Kokinda will discuss ways that this scripture and others can help us in our problems and help us find solutions in our homeschool. Join us to learn about how we can feel comfort in the decisions that we make for our families and their education.
