The World is (Literally) Our Classroom: Homeschool and Travel

As homeschoolers, the world is our classroom! There are all kinds of opportunities to get out and about in the world, and this class is about seizing those opportunities. We’ll hear from several different young people who have traveled in the United States or abroad, with or without their families, through programs or tours or own their own. Finally, we will hear from Greg Denning, who has spent the last twelve years travelling the world with his family. This class will give ideas on how to travel and inspire you to want to travel.

Maren was homeschooled all her life and graduated from LDSHE. She moved a lot as a kid (once every year or two, on average) before eventually ending up in Blackfoot, Idaho. Staying true to the military kid stereotype, she decided she liked moving all the time. So last December she quit her job and spent three months traveling through Mexico. She hopes to eventually travel full-time as an eccentric artist type.

Greg Denning is a Total Transformation mentor, coach and trainer. He has been working with youth and families for the last 21 years on five different continents. He grew up in a broken home and ended up out on his own at sixteen. He studied voraciously to learn the principles and practices of those who live purposeful, meaningful, happy lives. Greg was determined to find the keys to success, build an epic life and then help others do the same. He and his wife Rachel now have seven children and have been traveling and living abroad with their family for the last decade. They are passionate about family, education, and adventure! They inspire and train ordinary families to live EXTRAORDINARY LIVES.
