Sarah shares principles and programs from her life that have been helpful for her in a house full of young children, including resources, stories, and practical examples for strengthening yourself and for working with your young children, as well as tips for keeping your little ones busy while you're working with your older children.
Sarah was raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with a mother who loved education and learning. She attended Southern Virginia College, where she studied liberal arts and met many people who were homeschooled. It was through these experiences that the seeds of homeschooling her children were planted. When her son learned how to read at a young age, she realized that it was best to continue schooling all her children at home, where they could best continue their educational growth. Sarah embraces much of the Thomas Jefferson Education philosophy, and also loves practicing the Montessori method of hands-on education, particularly for preschool children. Sarah holds a black belt in karate.
