Teach These Things Freely: How to Share Your Passions with your Children

Presented by: Barry Croker

Barry is a homeschooling father of six kids, ages eighteen to seven, and an avid outdoor enthusiast. His main passion is anything related to cycling, but he also enjoys hiking, camping, and climbing. In 2015, he was the first person to complete the 72-mile Massanutten Ring trail by mountain bike without outside support, and in 2018 was the winner of the inaugural 270-mile Rockstar Virginia bikepacking race. He is also certified as a Professional Mountain Bike Instructor. When he is not exploring the mountains of Virginia, Barry is an active duty Air Force Officer assigned to the Washington, DC region.

The Family: A Proclamation to the World declares that “successful…families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.” Barry Croker explores ways that we, as parents, can use our passions to maintain these principles and have a little fun in the process.
