Sara Erling has been a TDI (Targeted Developmental Intervention) Specialist for the National Association for Child Development (NACD) for twenty years. She has trained extensively under Robert Doman, Jr., founder of NACD, who has spent the last 50 years developing the work of the Neurodevelopmental Approach. Utilizing the Neurodevelopmental Approach, Sara has had the opportunity to evaluate, design, and supervise individualized TDI programs for thousands of children all over the world. Over the past twenty years, Sara has been a speaker at Autism One National conference, Family Café annual conference in Florida, Washington Homeschoolers Association, Utah Christian Home Educators, Utah Home Education Association, INCH (Michigan Homeschool conference), and Christian Homeschoolers of Idaho State. Sara has spoken on various topics related to special needs children and to accelerating Neurotypical children through a child-centered and targeted approach. Sara is also wife and mother to three children and lives in Ogden, Utah.
Every child has the potential to function better, and often much better, given a real opportunity. In this follow-up class to “Homeschooling, Smarter is Better” on Thursday, Sara Erling will get more specific on how to use neuroplasticity and how to change your vision of what can be for your child. In addition, attendees will learn the significance of addressing the whole child and how the traditional way of having “experts” each address, focus, and prioritize their areas of expertise once a week is not necessarily going to produce the best outcomes. Targeted Home Education opens doors and presents opportunities for special needs children that have never existed before.
