Teach chemistry, math, self-sufficiency, culture, reading comprehension, creativity and work ethic – all while bringing your family closer together. Heather shares great ideas for including children in food production and creating in the kitchen.
Heather Bradford educates her six children in Charlottesville Virginia. Her mother is an incredible cook and gardener, and she knew that good food would be an important part of their family culture. As a young mother she was strongly influenced by Montessori method, and remembers reading about children who, at the age of five, were learning to cook eggs start to finish. Years later her own daughters have moved far beyond eggs. Some of her best memories are of working side by side with her kids in the garden and in the kitchen.
