Warning! Attending this class may give kids a cause to beg for science every day, neglect other subjects and try out newfound knowledge on unsuspecting dads. This will not be your ordinary sit-and-watch seminar: be prepared to make wet, slimy, gooey messes and be like a kid again. This active participation workshop uses scientific principles with real life application. You will never look at a bowl of cereal or a diaper the same way. The excitement and laughter you take home with you will be contagious for your kids. Don’t worry – all the activities are kid tested and mom approved. (Disclaimer: fire extinguishers will be provided and towels are available.)Bargain Bin class: This was a great presentation in person, and includes many gems that come through on the recording. As it had many visual elements, the download price will be only 99 cents.
Kari and her husband Earl are the grateful parents of seven children and doting grandparents of one. They call North Carolina home but love traveling all over the United States visiting family and spending time together. Kari graduated with honors from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in science, which only fueled her obsession with the subject. She has taught science in the homeschooling community for years and is currently the science instructor for FAITH Academy, where she has the opportunity to blow up, sink and dissect whatever she can get her hands on. Homeschooling has truly become a way of life and the blessings are impossible to measure. Some of Kari’s favorite activities include all kinds of reading (especially Jane Austen), tole painting, organic gardening, tap dancing and anything to do with the great outdoors.
