Establishing the Systems and Routines That Create the Very Best Family Style Learning Environment

Presented by: AnnMarie Norton

One of the greatest challenges with pretty much all homeschoolers is developing an inspiring learning environment at home while still doing all the “other” things it takes to run a household. You know, like maintaining a clean house (or at least one that doesn’t violate health codes) and getting your kids to pitch in so mom’s not doing it all solo. Things like planning, buying, and preparing healthy meals. Let’s not even mention your washing machine running 24/7 and that mound of clean (and wrinkled) clothes that still need folded and put away.

If you’ve thought it’s just not possible to effectively homeschool and run an organized household, don’t throw in the towel just yet! In this class, organizational expert (yes, some people actually enjoy organizing stuff!) AnnMarie Norton will show you the tools to create systems that will encourage family work while increasing your efficiency so that you can focus on what really matters: having fun and learning with your family!

Not sure if this class is for you? Well in case you didn’t know, AnnMarie traveled the country full time in an RV with her husband and six kids for nine months! Besides achieving sainthood, she also discovered how to pair down and simplify, and she wants to share her secrets with you. You’ll learn about some of the best organizational/educational iPad apps and how to use technology for good.

Regardless of how many kids you have or the size of your home (did I mention six kids in an RV for nine months?), this class will help you to accomplish all that you want to throughout the day, and still be able to find your shoes! You can check out some of her organizational videos here.

A passionate mother of seven children, AnnMarie believes her purpose as a mom is to help her children discover and live their life’s mission. Her favorite word is “inspire” and she believes that when you receive inspiration, you should take massive action. One such inspiration was to provide a real-world educational experience for her children, so she and her and her husband, Jerry, gave up their 8,000 sq ft house on 80 acres and to travel the country in an RV with their then-six kids.

AnnMarie is a master at creating systems and procedures that eliminate waste, create efficiency, and reduce redundancy, allowing more time and freedom to do the things that really count. By using her organizational gift, she has created a home and learning environment that is inviting, comfortable, and fun. Her favorite quote is this: “Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.” – Benjamin Franklin

AnnMarie enjoys reading self-help books (especially Covey), playing Just Dance on the Wii with her kids, traveling, and (most of all) eating sushi. Be sure to follow their family blog at
