Bente Rodriguez is the mother of fifteen amazing children ages 22 to 1. When she and her husband Todd first started their family, they never even thought about homeschooling; but as their oldest son was getting ready to enter kindergarten, they decided to give it a try (after all, how can you mess up a kindergartener?). A bit overwhelmed at first, they took it year by year, and before long, realized that they were in for the long haul. After sixteen years of schooling her children (and at least sixteen more to go), she has two returned missionaries, one current missionary, three college kids (BYU-Provo & SVU) and eleven still at home. She loves to read, work on home construction projects, recently moved to the country and is having fun with her garden, orchard and animals. She is also a lover of simplicity and learning!
Homeschooling and managing a houseful of children that need different things all at once can be daunting and exhausting! Have you ever gone to bed feeling like you didn’t give each of your children what they needed that day? Have you ever felt like shoving ear plugs in your ears and locking yourself in the bathroom? Although having children guarantees your life will be unpredictable and eventful, in this class Bente will share experiences, tips and ideas that will inspire you as you manage your own houseful of children (no matter how full that might be).
