Miki Painchaud began her homeschooling journey as a child in the Democratic Republic of Congo, being taught mostly by her mother and then by teachers in a small school created by her parents. When her first child was born, she immediately knew that she wanted to give her children a similar childhood. And so began her journey as a homeschool mom. Her family now has four children ranging from fourteen to four, who come with multiple learning levels, developmental stages, and needs. Originally from Quebec, Canada, the Painchauds have been calling Virginia home for the last six years; their homeschool is therefore in French and English. Miki is an avid learner of anything related to health and nutrition, which ties into her formal osteopathic degree. She strongly believes that education is a love story and a family adventure.
