From a young age Michelle Hale developed a love of learning and a desire to serve. This passion has landed her in unexpected places, like her current position serving on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer. She has lived in many locations ranging from Florida to Massachusetts with a year and a half in Brazil as a missionary, and has served in numerous other volunteer positions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With particular interests in history, language, culture, and the arts she received a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from The University of Virginia and a M.A. in Comparative Literature from Brigham Young University.
Her official homeschooling adventures began in 2011, and her relationship with LDSHE began soon after. She feels strongly that learning can occur in every moment, in any place, and under all circumstances and is happy to help LDSHE provide such a combination, within budget, of course. Michelle and her husband, Steve, live in Virginia with their five children.
