"What are LDSHE Conferences, and why would I want to come to one?"
LDSHE Conferences are a place to reinvigorate your homeschool. Three days of educational classes and fun activities shared with like-minded people will uplift you and your youth. Our presenters include subject experts as well as homeschooling "Mentor Moms" (and Dads!), all of whom are passionate about the topic they have to share with parents and youth.
On Wednesday the adults can choose between two seminars. New homeschoolers and those who need a refresher course can attend our Beginners' Seminar where they will learn the basics of launching a great homeschool. Or they can attend our Mentoring Seminar with Kathy Mellor, of Unleashing Your Voice, a homeschool mom of six and mentor to hundreds of youth.
The Home Education Conference on Thursday and Friday kicks off with a keynote by Rachel DeMille, and continues with classes on a wide variety of subjects. Mentor Mom/Dad and professional speakers have been carefully chosen to fill your needs.
Youth can attend our Wednesday Friendship Seminar where they will experience a day filled with mentoring on how to be a light to the world, finishing up the day with a keynote from Hank Smith on "The Habits of Extraordinary Teens."
On Thursday and Friday at the Youth Education Conference they can attend classes which are practical, inspirational, exciting, and educational, while making new friends among "the nicest bunch of kids this side of the Mississippi."
