At Home Instead: Deschooling and Making Your House Work

At Home Instead: Deschooling and Making Your House Work

East Beginners' Seminar

How do you adjust to homeschooling? You and your children probably need to “deschool” – to challenge the thoughts and practices that go with traditional classroom education, so you can help your children make the most of learning in a home environment. Homeschooling is different! You will also want to plan and develop that home environment so your house or apartment is physically set up in a way to help learning happen. You might be surprised how much you can “let your house do the homeschooling” by using time-tested ideas from veteran homeschoolers and by thinking of your home as the ultimate learning center.
