2021 LDSHE Virtual Conference

June 3–4, 2021

Awesome classes and connection with like-minded people

For a year like no other, we have a conference to match. This year we are having a virtual conference for everyone who cannot make it to the in-person events. We have all the elements of the conference that you love most coming straight to your living room. Great mentor mom classes, experienced speakers, vendor workshops, opportunities to chat with speakers and mentor moms after class and during Mentor Mom Chat time. We are spreading out the timing to accommodate live attendance for people in all time zones.

No matter where you find yourself on the homeschool road, LDSHE has a class and a mentor for you! Our mentor-mom classes provide not only a fun environment for growth and learning, but also insights into bringing added peace and certainty to your homeschooling life. We will enjoy the great outdoors and gather for games, dancing, laughter, and homeschool connections.

We are excited to have plenty of classes and time for moms to chat and learn. Come support others while finding strength for yourself as we share and learn how to increase the peace in our lives in the midst of a chaotic world. We will learn how to be more mindful with our family culture. We also have a unique opportunity to have Smithsonian curators show us how to take better advantage of the myriad museum virtual tools. They will then take us on a tour of the museum meant for the whole family.

Adult Classes

Are you ready to take your homeschool to the next level? Spend two days with our presenters and mentor moms to recharge, learn, and grow to help you on your journey.

As we travel our path to homeschool our children, we need to learn to trust the journey we are on and we can work together to learn how to do that. Our speakers will inspire us on our journey by covering topics such as:

  • Principles in life and learning
  • Using the library as a resource beyond books
  • Family Culture
  • Thinking outside the box for your elementary educating

We look forward to learning together how to travel our homeschool path and build strong, grounded homeschools that will benefit our families.

Mentor Mom Chats

Don’t you just love chatting with people who totally “get” you? On Thursday and Friday, you have the option to come to the Mentor Mom Chat room and join in the fun discussions that always take place when homeschooling parents get together to strengthen, encourage, and share.

Vendor Workshops

We are lucky to hear from vendors in our vendor workshops as they share with us how to get the most from their curriculum. Check back later for more information.

We are offering a variety of classes, hands-on workshops, and virtual tours for two full days. View the whole schedule here.

How will the online conference look?

We will be utilizing the Zoom online conferencing software to hold interactive classes. In order to participate, registrants will need to provide the email address that they will use to connect to the live classes. It is highly recommended to download the computer application and be hardwired to your modem rather than using a mobile device and wireless internet connection.

Can’t attend all the classes live? Not to worry. All classes will be recorded and will be made available to those registered for the conference to watch later.

To become familiar with how Zoom works, you may like to view some of their video tutorials. The following videos may be most helpful for the purposes of our conference:
